You've just walked into the office of your top client, extended your hand to say hello … and are greeted with, "Where's that package you promised us?"

No worries. Just pull out your cell phone and type in m.ups.com. That's the UPS Mobile website, optimized for use on a Blackberry, iPhone or any mobile phone with web-browsing capabilities.

At m.ups.com, you can track shipments, calculate time and cost and find UPS locations, on the move.

"Any time, anywhere – that's the benefit," says Bob Dubois, mobile marketing manager for UPS. "Even if you're out walking around, you've got access to information. You may not always have access to your laptop, but everyone always has their phone with them."

Anyone can use m.ups.com for tracking, calculating shipment costs or finding a UPS location. But once registered at myups.com, you can do even more at m.ups.com. The same account ID works at both locations, so you can access your saved information from either a computer or a smart phone. When you log in, you won't even have to type in a tracking number to review the status of your saved shipments.

"We're providing access to UPS services in the manner customers desire," Dubois says.

To create a My UPS account, go to myups.com (you’ll need a computer for this one). Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Register.

Who knows? With a My UPS account and m.ups.com, you may never have to go to your office again!
