UPS CampusShip® is a web-based shipping system that allows multiple employees spread throughout your office or based in other locations to ship from the same account. UPS CampusShip also lets you integrate everyone's shipping data into your back-end billing, tracking or other processes to make your business more efficient and make management of shipping a snap.
Q: I've racked up charges and wasted time sending out shipments with the wrong address. How can UPS help me get it right the first time?
A: Basic Address Validation occurs automatically in UPS shipping systems, verifying the city, state and postal code combination of any U.S.
Ship To address. If UPS is unable to validate the combination, you can choose to use a suggested address from an address database, revise the original address or use the original address.
For domestic shipments, you can confirm even deeper details, such as the street number range of your
Ship To address, with
Detailed Address Validation. If UPS is unable to validate the combination, you will be offered suggested ranges from a database of valid postal addresses provided by the U.S. Postal Service.
From UPS CampusShip, you can also validate an address by selecting the
Perform Detailed Address Validation checkbox from the
Enter New Address or
Add Shipping Options page. To validate every time, go to the
Shipping Preferences page and select the
Always Perform Address Validation checkbox. (This option is only available for addresses within the United States.)
Q: I'm new to UPS CampusShip. How can I find answers to questions I may have about shipping or administration?
A: You can find all sorts of helpful information in the
Help section under the
Shipping tab. There's a slew of information there, from creating entries in your address book to tracking a package to setting your shipping preferences (for example, the shipping service you would like UPS CampusShip to default to). In the
Downloads section, you can download a
Shipping Quick-Start Guide to UPS CampusShip. It's a helpful, 19-page document that you can save to your desktop or print out.
Q: One of my customers is so impressed with UPS CampusShip, he wants his company to use it, too. How do they get started?
A: Your customer has good business acumen! He can go to
ups.com/campusship and select
Request More Information, or he can call 1-800-PICK-UPS
®. You can also refer him to the
CampusShip Getting Started Guide.
