As the 2009 NASCAR season heats up, a new driver is behind the wheel of the UPS No. 6 Ford Fusion. UPS has signed a multiyear deal with Roush Fenway Racing and David Ragan.
Racing sensation Ragan, 23, started his racing career in 1997 at age 11 in the Bandolero Series, going on to win its national championship in several youth divisions. The Unadilla, Ga., native then graduated to the Daytona Dash series and NASCAR late-model stock cars.
A display of Ragan's talents in a 2006 recruitment program earned him the opportunity to race for Roush Fenway beginning in 2007. Throughout his second season of Sprint Cup Series competition, Ragan turned heads by demonstrating skills and maturity beyond his years.
NASCAR fans now have unparalleled access to Ragan and his entire racing team at
racing.ups.com. The relaunched website features bios, race results and blog entries by Ragan, team members and special guests. You can comment on the blogs, view photos and watch videos and TV spots. You can also sign up for e-mail updates throughout the season.
